IED Interview

For the two interviews at IED, I have the special experience for these two days. Actually, one day is for general interview, and the another day is for subject interview.

The first day, I have to go IED at 2:30p.m. and it is a good time for me because I can sleep enough and have my lunch well before the interview. However, when I went there, I needed to wait a long time for assigning and interviewing. The weather actually was too hot in outside, but indoor was too cold owing to the high-motion of air-conditioner. I forgot to bring my jacket and I suddenly thought so foolish for myself. The interview was divided into two parts, one part was the group discussion and the other part was individual presentation. Personally thinking, the individual presentation is the most impressible. They provided two questions to the interviewers and who had to choose one to present it immediately. It was so challenging for me!! I needed to think so quickly and tried to speak smoothly.

The second interview is held the day after Dragon Boat Festival. And I have to arrive there at 10:15 a.m. before. It is a big challenge for me on account of the early time. This interview is for the subject of Early Childhood Education and it is not the main subject I chose in IED, but I still try my best to interview. For this time, it was divided into three parts, including self-introduction, small group discussion and simulated teaching. Of course, the main challenging part is the last part—simulated teaching, which I prepared a story book to present to the age 2-8 children. (And the book is “the ugly duckling”) I had to act a nice person and smiled like a professional teacher in the two minutes! The cute tone and the lovely sound made me feel so stupid!! I hope this interview would be successful at last because I really don’t want to be the stupid one again.

(Maybe, I should hope that the interview would be fail that I do not need to the teacher to teach the children in the future…)
